Serving Lewisburg hunters
Your next season starts with the right gear
Lewisburg’s connection to the Buffalo Valley runs from its farm landscape to its trails and wooded creek corridors. For hunters and land managers in Union County, Field & Forge offers a reason to head to Middleburg: an Amish-owned shop focused on practical hunting gear you can see and compare in person. Our store is on Troxelville Road—not a Lewisburg branch—and we welcome customers from across Central PA.
The Buffalo Valley, on foot and beyond
Two distinctive local outdoor destinations help define the Lewisburg area. They are places to enjoy the landscape and observe the changing seasons, not recommendations for hunting locations.
Buffalo Valley Rail Trail
The Union County Trail Authority’s 9.3-mile asphalt-and-gravel trail connects Lewisburg and Mifflinburg, passing working farms along the way. Walking, cycling and cross-country skiing are among the listed activities. That mix of town and agricultural scenery is a distinctive part of the Buffalo Valley’s outdoor identity.

West of Lewisburg, this two-mile walking loop follows a conservation-easement property bordering Buffalo Creek. The Merrill W. Linn Land & Waterways Conservancy highlights ridge-top views, birding, wildflowers, mature woodlots and streamside habitat. Consult the conservancy for current access information before visiting.

Make the trip count with gear you can compare
If your hunting season takes you from valley fields to wooded properties, build your kit around the way you actually spend time outdoors. At Field & Forge, look over hunting clothes and jackets, compare boots and browse scent-control products before choosing your next addition. Seeing a garment’s fit and construction is a compelling reason to shop in person.
For Lewisburg-area landowners, trail cameras and food plot supplies can be part of a deliberate property-management routine. Browse cameras and accessories at the shop and bring questions about your scouting priorities. We also carry tree saddles and hunting supplies for customers who want to review their equipment before the season gets busy.
Have one specific item in mind? Call with the caliber, size or product you need before leaving Lewisburg. We can discuss current availability so you can decide whether to stop in. It is a straightforward first step toward a better-prepared store visit.
